Our Current Project - The chapter house renovations have started with the sprinkler system, which was mandated by the Borough to be installed by Summer 2008. We had already seen a price increase from last year to this and expected the costs would only go up, so we opted to start while the house was empty over the summer, rather than let prices go up more. We have hired Bill Culwell Enterprises, Inc. as our project manager for the pending renovations. Bill has been our lead man on the whole project from getting the bids, permitting and overseeing installation. We hired Fritz Fire Protection to install the sprinkler system.
Our generator is obsolete and no longer runs, which is a borough code violation. With the design of the new sprinkler system,a new generator was needed. We are in the process of purchasing a propane generator, which will be housed outside next to the parking lot. The sprinkler system will include heads for every room, hallways, rack, apartment and fire towers. The system will have the ability for the fire department to hook in directly into the system; the laundry room utilized for the water storage tanks. It will also include fascia and soffits to cover all the piping. With the rack having the system installed, it will allow the chapter to again start utilizing the rack if they want to. We have included pictures of some of the system components. more>>>
