About Us
In 1910, 5 men from a local Penn State fraternity decided they needed a new place to mix their professional and social ties. After meeting a few members from Alpha Gamma Rho from Ohio State, they decided to form a new chapter of AGR. Being the third chapter of the national fraternity formed, the Penn State group was dubbed “gamma chapter.” Those few enlightened men probably never envisioned that their idea would grow into the world’s largest social professional agricultural fraternity. Currently, AGR’s number over 110,000 from 64 chapters. Here at Gamma chapter, the third chapter of AGR, we have close to 1500 actives and alumni. |

Our house, located at 322 Fraternity Row, was built in 1929 and still stands strong today. The exterior of the house features many amenities, including a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a large landscaped lawn great for picnics and social gatherings. Not to be outdone, the interior of the house is also well appointed, with a big screen TV, pool table, and leather couches. As for living quarters, the house has 23 bedrooms which can easily house more than 40 men. Each room is fully connected with wireless internet, telephone, and cable service. Our alumni association is in the process of renovating our property, which will include the installation of a fire sprinkler system, new wiring, and various other aesthetic upgrades. |
